Monday 6th November, at 3 p.m.
British Ambassador’s Residence, Laboratoriegatan 8.

Writing from Berlin in 1912, the homesick war poet Rupert Brooke ended his Grantchester poem with the question “And is there honey still for tea?” The “Djurgården loves bees” project sets out to ensure that the answer will always be “Yes”. We need bees and other pollinators because 76% of everything grown in Europe requires pollination. But there has been a significant decline in the abundance and diversity of pollinators over the past 50 years. Over tea at the British Ambassador’s residence, Mrs Sharon Cairns and Mr Göran Wiklund will present the project and what we can do to help to reach a more sustainable future. The cost for the afternoon tea is 200:- for members, 250:- for non-members and should be paid into the Society´s plusgiro (3424-9). All revenues will go to the “Bees project”.
